From a recording to a to-do list
You do one thing: tap Record. The rest arrives by itself, shortly after you end the recording.

Record
One tap on iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch. It keeps recording with the screen locked, and you can type notes while it runs.

Transcript
Every speaker gets their own line. Name a voice once and Nuvi recognizes it next time, on your device.

Summary
An overview, the key points, the decisions and the action items, with owners and due dates when they were said.

To-dos
Action items land in one list: overdue, today, this week. Tick them off or add your own.

Ask
"What did I promise to do this week?" The answer cites the notes it came from.
One voice is a note. More is a meeting.
Think out loud on a walk and Nuvi files it as a note. Sit down with three people and it becomes a meeting, with each speaker separated.
- After a meeting Nuvi may ask "Which one is you?" so action items get the right owner.
- Choose "Save and remember voice" and that person is named automatically in later recordings.
- Remembered voices stay on your device. They are not synced and not kept on a server.
- Two microphone modes: Room hears everyone around the table, Just me reduces background noise.

The summary is included free
The summary, the decisions and the action items are part of the free plan, not an upgrade. You can share the summary as text from the free plan too.
Free transcribes the first 10 minutes of each recording, up to 30 minutes a month. Pro raises that to 60 minutes per recording with no monthly limit.

Private by design
A recording of a conversation is about as personal as data gets, so here is exactly where yours goes and when it is deleted.
- Your deviceYou tap Record. The recording is saved on your iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch first.Kept until you delete it
- Temporary uploadThe audio goes over an encrypted connection to cloud storage in the EU, only so it can be transcribed.Deleted when the transcript is returned
- Our own AI serversSpeech and language models on servers the developer operates write the transcript and the summary. No third-party AI service.Transcript and summary not stored
- Back on your deviceThe transcript, summary and to-dos come back to your device and sync through your own private iCloud. We cannot read your iCloud
- Your audio and transcripts are not used to train AI models.
- Voiceprints, used to recognize speakers, stay on your device.
- No ads, no ad tracking, no selling of data. The app collects anonymous usage statistics only.
- "Delete all data" in Settings removes everything: on the device, in iCloud and on the servers.
On your phone, your tablet and your wrist
Nuvi is one app for iPhone and iPad, with a companion app for Apple Watch. Notes sync through your own iCloud.

Apple Watch
Record from your wrist. The recording leaves the watch once your iPhone has it, and the iPhone gets it transcribed.
Widgets
Record, Recent notes, Latest summary, To-dos and Coming up on the Home Screen, plus Lock Screen widgets.
Action button and Siri
The "Start or Stop Recording" shortcut works with the Action button, Siri, Shortcuts and a Control Center control.
iPad
The same notes with room to read: your list on one side, the summary and transcript on the other.
iCloud sync
Notes sync and restore through your own private iCloud. Reinstall the app and they come back.
Built like an iOS app
Dark mode, Dynamic Type, a Live Activity while recording, and import of audio or video files from Files.
In the language it was spoken
Nuvi detects the language by itself and writes the summary in that language. Under the hood is Whisper large-v3, an open speech model, running on servers the developer operates.

Questions people ask first
Is my audio stored?
Only until it is transcribed. Nuvi uploads the audio over an encrypted connection to temporary storage, transcribes it with speech and language models on servers the developer operates, and deletes it as soon as the transcript is returned. A storage rule removes any leftover upload after one day. The original recording stays on your device and in your own iCloud.
Do I need an account?
No. Nuvi has no sign-up, no login and asks for no email address. The app signs in anonymously in the background with a random identifier, which is only used to apply the plan limits and to know whether a subscription is active.
Which languages does Nuvi transcribe?
Nuvi transcribes and summarizes in many languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Turkish, Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, Arabic, Hindi, Japanese, Korean and Chinese. It detects the language by itself and writes the summary in the language that was spoken. Quality varies by language and recording. The app interface is in English.
Does Nuvi record phone calls or join Zoom meetings?
No. Nuvi records what its microphone hears in the room, on iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch. It does not record phone calls and it does not send a bot to join Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams. If you need a recorder that joins online calls, a meeting-bot service is the better tool.
How accurate is the transcript?
It depends on the recording. A phone in the middle of the table in a quiet room gives a good transcript; distance, overlapping speech, strong background noise and unusual names make it worse. Transcripts, summaries and speaker labels are AI output and can be wrong, so check anything important against the recording. You can correct a word once with "Fix a word" and add your own vocabulary.
Can I use Nuvi offline?
You can record without a connection. The recording is saved on your device and Nuvi sends it for transcription when the connection returns. Transcription, summaries and Ask need an internet connection, because they run on servers rather than on the phone.
How much does Nuvi cost?
Nuvi is free to use within limits: the first 10 minutes of each recording are transcribed, up to 30 minutes a month, and the summary is included. Nuvi Pro transcribes up to 60 minutes per recording with no monthly limit (fair use) and costs $4.99 a week, $14.99 a month or $49.99 a year in the US. Prices vary by region.
Does Nuvi work on Apple Watch and iPad?
Yes. Nuvi is one app for iPhone and iPad, with a companion app for Apple Watch. The watch records on your wrist and hands the recording to your iPhone, which gets it transcribed. You can read your notes, summaries and to-dos on the watch.
Is Nuvi available yet?
Not yet. Version 1.0 is finished and is coming soon to the App Store for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. This site will link to the App Store page on release day.
